The UWC Ikamva Lethu – Our Future Campaign 2016-2020 seeks to secure UWC’s future in uncertain and challenging times in our country and, more specifically, the higher education landscape. This funding will
be dedicated to three broad areas: student funding, infrastructure and development. The campaign will be rolled out over three phases. The first phase will look at the University’s short-term needs, which includes offering greater financial support to those students who fall in what’s known as the ‘missing middle’ – students who do not qualify for funding from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), but for whom university studies remains out of financial reach. The second and third phases will include fundraising for infrastructure and UWC’s endowment (development) fund.
